Giraffe card

At first I didn't like this card, but after I played around with it and added glitter to the giraffe I love it! The alphabet stamp is a wheel stamp called nursery alphabet. I have seen so many cute this done with it. Most of the wheels I don't really like but this one I do! The colors I used chocolate chip, so saffron and whisper white.

Calendar

I found this wood calendar and thought that it would be fun to alter. I applied paper to it and distressed the edges and here you have the end result. I don't know if you can tell but in the back there is a paper tablet. I have some fun ideas of putting a "day's til' Christmas" card in that slot and having it count down til' Christmas (and any other count down). When I do I will post it again so you all can see.

Easter basket

Here is a fun little Easter basket that I made. I know can you believe it Easter is coming soon! I can't believe how fast this year is going.
I don't know if you can see but the bunny is embossed. I cut some skinny strips of paper and crinkled them up and but them inside as grass. The designer paper I got for free (Stampin up messed up and gave me it free in my last order). It is not something that I would have bought but I really like it. So thanks Stampin up!

A is for adorable!

This week while potty training Malik, we tried a lot of things to keep him entertained while on the Potty. Bubbles seemed to work great. It worked so well even Zia got in on the fun! If you look closely you will notice on Zia's face "dip dips" (a.k.a. ketchup). Boy does she love her dip dips!

Botanical Blooms

Here is some cards that I made with Botanical blooms (one of Stampin up Sale-A-Bration). I liked these cards because they make me think of spring. I used perfect plum, pale plum and certainly celery. I posted both of them because I could not decide which one I liked better.

Baby box

Here is an idea that I took from someone online. It is a fun way to write down and remember your baby's first year. This wood box is big enough to hold 4 x 6 pictures so you can also store your baby pictures here. I like it because you can go back after the fact to scrapbook them and they are all in order. I wanted to add embellishments to the cards but I ran our of time. Something that happens a lot!

Daddy's work

This was a conversation I had with Malik today:

"Mommy, daddy and Zia are going to stay home!"
"Oh ya, Where are you going?"
"to work!"
"Oh really what are you going to do at work?"
"Drink CHOCOLATE MILK!" (so matter-of-faculty!)
"Is that what Daddy does when he is at work?"
"YAAAAH!"

Who doesn't want that!

Tuesday's card

This card was fun. I have had Stampin ups watercolor crayons for awhile now and I have been wanting to try this technique (where you color the crayons right onto the stamp then spray with a fine mist of water and stamp). So here it is! It was quite easy and fun. I used summer sun, chocolate chip, always artichoke and certainly celery. The stamp set is Inspired by Nature and French script.

Today's card

Today's card is birthday card for a little boy. I think I was inspired by this card because of Malik's 3rd birthday! I don't think you can see it but down in the right hand corner it says "driving by with a birthday hi!". I used the By Land stamp set from Stampin Up. The paper and inks are not quite navy, old olive, riding hood red and so saffron. Enjoy!
